The wording of his response threw her off a bit, but it was the bow that really threw her for a loop. Who bowed anymore? Actually, how was one supposed to respond to a bow? Weren't ladies supposed to curtsy or something to that effect? Her thoughts wouldn't answer her question and she was fairly sure she was right about the entire curtsy thing. Just to humor him (or maybe to just appeal to him, whichever worked the best), she bent her legs in a shallow curtsy, trying not to fall over or laugh while she did so.
"I'm going to have to teach you modern customs," she said, sounding a little amused. "But that'll have to wait for later."
