The way she handled knowing that he could read her mind was like nothing he'd really seen before. Granted he hadn't seen enough people to really make a note of it, but he just enjoyed listening to how her mind work. It was a lot more..mature I guess he would say. That added shyness though, that's what really got him every time. It just made him smile that while she knew of the true outside world, she was more shy and embarrassed than he was. "I appreciate you looking out for me, it's nice to know someone's got my back." He smiled lightly at her, just taking the time to enjoy having another person around.

After a deep inhale and exhale, she stretched out, relaxing a bit. The mind reading wasn't turning out to be an overly bad thing; well it hadn't yet. He seemed to be mature about it, which was a good thing. Hopefully he wouldn't think it was a good idea to broadcast and prod into obviously really personal thoughts.
Her other observations about him could wait until later. Sky figured that he wouldn't want to know what a near stranger thinks about him, anyway. Or, well, she didn't know that, but whatever.
"Just trying to be nice," she responded, a small laugh escaping her. "And I really don't want you to get busted for accidentally answering someone's thoughts."
Ah the workings of her inner mind. They were even more intriguing than he had originally interpreted. But now this thought of her other observations, oh he wished he could know. The idea that he couldn't know what she thought about him was even more than taunting. But hopefully in the future, sooner rather than later, she would share these. Of course, he had thoughts of his own, but he wasn't going to share till she did.
"Well I'm sure even then I could probably could get around it." He was fairly good with words, sometimes almost to a fault.

Instead of answering she just looked at him, an amused glimmer in her eyes. Oh, she was sure he would be able to talk his way out of quite a few things. Still, if he was as ignorant of society as he claimed to be, then it would take him time to get used to so many people with so many goals and dreams and cares. The whole mind thing might just overwhelm him.
Speaking of mind thing. "So, how does the whole mind reading thing work? Can you only read things as people think them or can you, like, search through minds?" Sky was pretty sure she would regret asking, but she wanted to know. Her own abilities made little sense to her, and it was pretty straight forward. His abilities seemed a lot more complex and, well, confusing.
"Well you know that's a very interesting question..." He stopped for a moment to think about it, trying to put it into words that wouldn't be too confusing. "Well, basically I can only see what passes through your mind at the given moment. While that does include your thoughts, I can also hear, see, touch, taste, and smell whatever you do. But if I don't pay attention, then I'll miss it. I can only sense it right when it happens." He had a jist of her powers, but he wanted to ask more. Since she was also confused about her own powers, he refrained from asking.

He could see... things? So then... "Wait, earlier. You could see the, uh, black and white thing?" There wasn't any other way she could think about explaining it, but if he saw he'd understand. Or at least Sky hoped.
She looked at him a long moment. "You know, if you want to prod me with questions you can. I feel rude asking all these questions."
He smiled again, and nodded. "While those were more memories, had you been seeing them in real time, yes, I could have seen them too. In theory I could communitcate with them through you, but that is way beyond what either of us want at the moment." Laughing slightly, he laid down on his back, but still listened to her. "I do enjoy the questions though, it's how I prefer talking to be completely honest."

She couldn't even comprehend that. How could he talk through her? Wait, nope, he probably heard that, and Sky didn't want the answer to that question today. Maybe one day, far in the future, but not today. Or maybe not one day, since it was kind of weird to grasp. Indecisiveness, not a good sign. Sky decided to just drop the whole thought for now. Work it out when she wasn't with a mind reader.
She scoffed and poked him lightly with her elbow. "If you like questions, silly, then ask some. I don't bite."
He fell to the side and laughed softly as he sat back up. "Questions for the one and only Sky, how intriguing." But what question could she possibly ask...he basically could figure out everything about her at any given moment. This was different though, he could literally ask anything. Too personal though and he scares her off. Well, there was at least one question he could use to test the water. "Well...where would you suggest I stay? I just arrived and haven't had a place to live in months..."

Well, that was one question she wasn't expecting. He had to have a reason to ask it. Other than that he didn't have a place to stay. She'd been asking questions -- ones she thought were kind of personal, but then again Sky hadn't really had anyone who would understand the supernatural stuff and the topic itself was almost taboo in town -- about him, and then he asked a question about the housing market in town.
She was probably just overthinking the whole thing. He was new in town, needed to know where a good house could be found, and was asking his friendly graveyard tour guide. Just stop thinking, she told herself, figuring that would be the smart method.
"Well, there are some apartments and the like in town. I don't know how much they're going for now." She leaned back and looked at him. "If you need a place to stay until you can get on your feet, you could stay with me. As long as you promise you don't turn into some ax murderer or something at night."
"Me? A murderer? Why I could never do such a thing. You've been much too kind to me, and I've grown quite fond of having you around." Did he really just say that? Maybe he was starting to overthink things too. But what if he wasn't? Well she offered him a place to stay, and that was exactly what he needed. Now he had to try and unscrew it all up after that last little display.

How did one take that? There were so many meanings to the word "fond" it was crazy. Though, judging by the look on his face, he hadn't meant to let that part slip out. So, Sky did the safe thing. She didn't hear it.
She nodded once before standing up, brushing off her clothes. "Good. I have to do a few things before I go home... Hmmm..." How to do this. Was the key still under the welcome mat? "I am almost completely sure there's a key under the mat. If you want to meet me there? It's apartment 27 on the second floor."
"I would be much obliged if the opportunity was still open tonight upon my arrival." So she was actually going to let him stay, at least for one night. That was good, really good actually. Now he'd be able to talk to her even more, which he was much enjoying. "I'll be at your apartment at say...eight?" He smiled calmly at her, looking into her eyes softly.

Or he could do that. It would be easier; why didn't she think of that? Then again, she did forget she had stuff to do and.. she glanced at her watch. She was running late. At least she was late for a good reason.
"Eight," she agreed, a smile tugging at her lips. "Don't be late, 'kay angel boy?"
"I wouldn't dare to miss it." The way the sentence was phrased and how it sounded coming off of his lips. It sounded more like a date than just two friends meeting up in the same apartment....oh... Well details make things seem as they are, or as they aren't. The two would just have to meet again, to see what would all come out of this. Seamus smiled and gave a bow to her, excited for the upcoming event.
(Maybe make another post or two, then why don't you start a thread at the apartment complex for me to arrive at?)
