Agenta knelled down in front of the alter with her hands clasped tightly together. Her white dress matched her white ribbon that held her long brown hair together. Agenta's eyes were shut closed as she spoke in her mind with great focus. "I pray for the best of my brother. May you grant him happiness and watch over him. Keep him from the darkness that clouds this earth. Protect him, Please."

Claw smirked as she walked into the church. "You do know that praying isn't going to do anything, right? You're just wasting your time. You could actually be out there, doing something, but instead you're just asking some stupid, fake imaginary friend to do all the work for you. It's just lazy." she shook her head and crossed her arms. "Pitiful." Claw had come in here looking for someone to hunt. There are usually a lot of bad people in the church, people that take advantage of other people's stupidity to get money, and other people that just use the church as an excuse to hate. The rest are just stupid.
"Call him imaginary or call him real, very few of us no the real truth." Seamus walked down the center isle and took a seat in one of pews. Get also bowed his head down and began to pray. Seamus believed in him, mostly because he was an angel. He had never yet met him, but one day.
(sorry i had to show my views at least once ;D) "Which is what?" Claw asked, "Cause I don't think it's very likely that it's some big invisible magical man in the sky that hears everything everyone is saying to him at once and is everywhere all the time and can do anything he wants, and if it is, he's obviously a very very bad person." she hated religion, honestly it was just stupid, and you barely get anything good out of it. Why people believed in idiotic stuff like this, she will never know, but people are...stupid.
(And since you've showed yours I shall show mine.)
"Well consider it Claw, should people like us truly exist? It took billions of years for humans to become how they are, through what I've come to understand as guided evolution. Normal evolution could not have made the humans exactly how they are without intense amounts of luck, and it certainly should never have created us. If we go under the assumption that God is real and created the heavens and the earth, then who are we to say he couldn't do all those things? To listen to every person and mold whatever he wants to mold. And just because bad things happen doesn't mean he is a bad being. For if there is a God, then there must be a devil. The devil brings the evil things, and sometimes provides good to those who do evil to advance people's want to do evil. God never inflicts harm on someone except for in extreme cases to serve as a punishment. A good father knows how to balance punishment and guidance. There's just too many things in my opinion that make me believe that there isn't a higher being. If there wasn't, then I shouldn't exist." Throughout the entire speech he kept his voice calm and quiet. Above all else he tried to be respectful, for not doing so would not support his case at all. Seamus personally didn't care if Claw or anyone else believed in the end, although he wished they would. To each their own choice, that is what he wanted.
(Sorry I wrote so much, but I believe strongly, even though I have many flaws. Hopefully if these conversation comes up again we can have a civilized debate. )
Claw laughed, "Okay, well let's not focus on two things at once, but I will answer both of your questions, and you can choose which to go off of from there. The whole idea of life, of us being here today and who we are, take more luck then you could possibly imagine, but it happened, and here we are, so get used to it. Evolution, by the way, is a species adapting to it's environment. We were put on this environment, and we adapted to it, we just happened to adapt in this certain way. Now, for the whole devil thing, first off, in the bible, your god killed over 2000 people and the devil only killed about 10, and if it is the devil that's creating all the evil why doesn't god just go and destroy, why did he even make him in the first place. Yeah, I know the whole Lucifur story or whatever, but if he's all knowing why didn't he just never make Lucifur in the first place. Why doesn't he just stop the devil from doing any bad stuff he does. I could go on and on about this kind of stuff, but I'll just stop here to save some time." (yay debating )
He looked over to Claw, growing tired of the debate when he just wanted to talk to him for a few moments, as Agenta came in here earlier to do. Hopefully this wasn't driving her mad either, and he felt sorry for ruining her moments of silence. "Claw, I shall respond to your two questions, but then can we save this for another day? For your first answer, science does seem to prove evolution's role in creating us who we are. But what's to say that God could not have used it to develop us into who we are? If God is all powerful, then he could have used evolution as his tool." It was an interesting concept. Could God not be as plausible as luck in this case? "Then to answer your second reply, the devil has killed more than 10 people. That might be the number that the bible mentions, but how many acts of evil cause the deaths of millions of lives? If the devil is the source of evil, then the millions of people who die due to neglect, abuse, or murder could then be attributed to him. Plus I will just add that I am not God, so I do not know why God may choose to do some things. Only he can answer that for you, and I can only take a guess as to why, just as you would attempt to provide reason. We are both the same in this case, we just use different mediums."
Claw smiled happily, she could tell this was annoying him, that just made her want to argue all the more. "You didn't really answer my second question, I asked why, if God was real, he didn't just destroy the devil and not let him do anything in the first place. For the first one, why would he use evolution, in the bible it says the world is only like 4000 years old or something, evolution wouldn't have been able to take place in that small amount of time, and why didn't he just like put people here, and not go through all that time, that wasn't really there according to the bible, of evolution. It's just stupid, and don't give me that 'god works in mysterious ways' stuff, that's just a bunch of bull, and you know it."
"And if it isn't?" He looked back up at her and just turned to face her, still sitting down. "Truthfully I'd love to try to explain to you why I believe what I do. But I just want to be respectful to Agenta and do this later. Plus, I try to be respectful to your beliefs, I hope you can be respectful to mine." Later he would argue this debate, but he came her for some silence, and her rudeness towards the end of her last statement showed that she was not likely going to take his argument seriously. She was set in her ways, and in psychology, a debate like will just increase the intensity of the two sides opinions, rather than make them open to other options. This debate had become pointless at this moment, as it would be nothing more than just spewing out of different findings, beliefs, and the like.
(It's actually true, it is a real psychology deal that debates can instead of opening a person up to other views will actually just solidify there's even more)
(i no, but still fun, and you can always think about my veiws and be like well maybe....but overall, fun) Claw laughed, "Religion brings little else but bad, I think it's good for you all to hear this, and maybe think, and I respect your beliefs as much as I possibly can, unfortunately, that's very little. Don't be afraid to think, because that's what the bible basically says not to do. It says 'do what I say or I'll hurt you' and that's not a good reason to listen to it." she sighed. "I'm having fun, I don't know about you, but I don't really care." she started to feel the bloodlust creeping in, her eyes were rimmed with red.
Seamus made a small smirk before opening on of the bibles that he had found in the row. "There is really a lot more to it than that. I don't believe it for that reason at all. One day I shall explain to you why I believe, but for now I think it's time you should go find something to eat, there's no meals in here today."
"Obviously, I don't think there are any hamburgers in here do you." Claw said, when she smelled someone familiar, someone right outside of the church, probably right about to go in. "I think I'm gonna go anyway." she said, smiling, she knew that person, she remembered seeing her at one of those stupid protests about anti-gay marriage or something like that. Claw walked towards the door, her heart starting to pound excitedly, her claws unsheathed.
Seamus growled lightly and spoke into her mind. That woman is blind. Choose someone who's actually done a harmful act, such as attack physically or abuse. Don't punish someone since they are misguided. With that he went back to reading calmly, looking through the pages.
"There's not enough people in the world like that." Claw said, speaking out loud, "You have to take what you can get." she opened the door just as the woman was about to walk in, and with the cutest, sweetest voice she could muster she said, "Hi, my name is Clair, would you like to sign my petition to help us teach creationism in school?" the woman agreed eagerly and Claw smiled, trying not to show her fangs. Then she checked the pocket of her shorts like she was getting something. "Oops, I must have dropped my pencil somewhere outside around the church, will you help me look for it?" the woman agreed to help and Claw lead her around the side of the building, her eyes beginning to turn blood red.
Seamus growled to himself and slammed the bible shut, replacing it back in it's holding spot. Claw seemed to forget that the prison was a great place for , and there were a few on death row that deserved to die. But this woman was not one of those people. Seamus bolted out the back exit so he would be in the ally waiting whenever the two turned the corner.
