The night was quiet and Mocking sat on the rocks again. She quiet sang a song, she soon stopped as she heard footsteps. Jay still wasn't here and she was worried about her friend, did he get killed on the way here. "Damn it." Mocking muttered. She was in her coat, her wings for now hidden, death was here for sure. She brought her knees to her chest and swung her arms around them as she watched the waves quietly wade onto the shore. A few tears came to her eyes, but she soon whipped them away, she refused to cry. There was no more tears coming from her eyes and she sat on the hard cold stone.

The beautiful night coated him in a shroud of black. But his blazing red eyes lit the way, lighting he might and dispelling any dark creatures the world threw at him! He was a hero! The greatest of all time! He was the man who stood up for others and believed in justice and loyalty. ………actually……… He was just Toby. It was dark, yes, and he had dark amber eyes, but they didn't glow in the night. They were just regular, human, eyes. But, in his hand he held a lantern with a little white candle inside. It was old fashion, but it smelled nice unlike the odorless and ugly flashlights. He chuckled lightly to himself, his pale lips perking in a smile. He was no hero either. He was just Toby as said earlier. He had no special powers or weird creature attributes, he was a human all the way through. He had a good mind see, but that was just it. Toby was a mechanic, a drummer, and an assistant at the hospital. He was a workaholic and always exerted himself more than what was necessary. So, he was also a problem child. He had many secrets? But he was a good boy, happy and healthy!
So, human Toby walked along the beach, lantern in hand. He brushed away his troublesome locks of hair out of his eyes, blowing it out if his eyes in gain as hey just fell back. With a small puff of annoyance, he started looking ahead. Toby thought he could hear someone.....crying? He sped up, tears always tugged at his heart strings. Soon, a red haired girl came into view sitting among the stone boulders near the water. His heart throbbed as he watched her sob. Poor girl, he tilted his head and walked closer. "Hey, are you okay?" He called, his voice soft and compassionate.
Had he lost his mind? Besides the normal maneuverings of his daily life, he couldn't get this damn dark angel out of his mind. He had fallen in love with her, and nothing would stop those feelings for her, except perhaps the unexpected.
Tears.
She cried, like a legitimate, hide it in your sleeve and quickly wipe your eyes so no one notices type of cry. She hid it, but she really cared for this Jay character. To a worry, Seamus began to fear that her feelings were more than that. Beyond this, Seamus stood no chance with the head start this man presented in this fight. When the factors were all considered, she actually liked Jay, and as for Seamus, nothing that could be seen.
"I wish I could make her smile like that...I just want her to know that I care..." Seamus said quietly to himself, looking to the two from far away. As much as he didn't want to see Jay show up and to see the smile that he put on her face, seeing her happy was more important to him.

She then saw Toby and she glared. "It is nothing." She snapped and soon turned away from him. It maybe isn't nothing, but my only friend might be dead and I might end up having no one on my side it seems. I have no help, alone. Mocking Bird thought. She slid off the rocks and onto the ground, still curled up, she knew that this guy probably wasn't going to leave, but that was just her guess. It was true that when she was young she had only one friend, the others just left her in the end, but not Jay. Once she hit her wing and was stuck in a tree, the others just laughed, but Jay came up to help her down. She hadn't seen him after she had left for this mission, and now it hurt that he maybe dead. Her only friend, possibly gone, but she knew, even though her sister was on the opposing side, she would have her back, Raven was the only light angel Mocking trusted.

He smiled, sliding down into the sandy ground next to her. "Perhaps it is nothing, but why are you crying?" He said, turning his head to look at her sad face. Toby was a good friend and a better comforter. He didn't dare touch her though, he was a quick learner and it sometimes became apparent to him that not all found comfort in a gentle touch. So he simply sat nearby. Toby pulled his knees up to his chest, resting his chin on the knee caps and lettin his eyes wander the expanse of beach. The water glittered brightly from the full moon's glare, the caressing breezes that carried hints of coldness to come. Toby was a simple soul, a caring boy really. "I'm Toby, if it matters that is." He said finally in a gentle tone. He glanced at her fm the side with his dim, red eyes. His light brown hair settled gently against his face and neck, the collar of his shirt proving nice against the nippy air. He only wanted to help, he had been through more drama than most and preferred to stay out of more, but a sad maiden was his weakness. In fact, any person with a frown made him sadder than he wished to be.

Mocking Bird was stubborn of course and she wouldn't dare tell this human. "Why do you care?" Mocking Bird snapped. She was indeed mean, and right now she seem to want no one else to bother her. She began to walk off, as if Toby wasn't there, ignoring him it seemed. She wasn't going to tell him her name, there was just no point.

He gave a small smile, sad, but a smile nonetheless. "We'll why not? I see a sad person and I have the instinct to help. Anyone would do the same." He said following behind at a lazy and comfortable pace. Now that he had found some source of company it would take more than a few threats to get him to actually leave. "Alright, I'm sorry if I came on a bit...odd. Just don't go! I sort of have abandonment issues." He smiled sheepishly and rubbed his arm in a shy way. His lanky bike made him really awkward and nerdy looking. A weakling by the looks of him. Toby stopped following and gave her a pleading look to tag along.

"Stupid human." Mocking muttered under her breath so Toby couldn't hear. My soul is ice, I just leave scars, I am not stupid, but Jay, where the hell is he? That idiot is probably lost. Mocking Bird thought, it had happen before and she was there, Jay was too stubborn to ask someone for help so they wondered helplessly through town for an hour.
