There were many roads that cross the landscape of this country. Most of these roads were well traveled. Cars crossed them all the time, but there was one road, one single road that no one traveled down. The road itself was in perfect condition, despite the lack of traffic. No cars, no humans, no repair crews. Nothing traveled down this road due to what lay at the end of it. This road went for miles, hundreds of miles. But nothing lay on this road, and besides the one connection to the major roadways near the city, no other roads connected to this road. For at the end of this road lay the ruins of a long forgotten city.
Once a rival in power to Nova City, the city of Andros had thrived. But that was before the modern age, the industrial age, even before modern technology had even existed. You see, both of these locations existed hundreds of years ago. But as Nova City evolved over the course of time, Andros remained stuck in it's ancient past. The city had done five hundred years ago. Nova City, seeing them as no more threat, even built the road to connect the two cities to try to encourage their growth.
But, not forty years ago at most, the city vanished. Or rather, all the inhabitants had, and the buildings all but destroyed. Most were burnt and caved in. No one from an outside city was present at the time of the destruction, and no one left any sort of recoverable record. Alas, the city of Andros was nothing but a relic.
Perhaps that is why Seamus visited. One who knew his past would understand more, but history alone was all that was necessary to know. Seamus rested on the steps of a former cottage, and his sword rested in his lap. His head lad been lying on the top step for hours with his eyes closed, and all that he did now was think and rest. In all likelihood, no one would find him. One who did would be terribly lost or someone who was searching much too hard for him.
