The titled lied. The barbclosed an hour ago and there was a pretty big party that went on. Now Ace had to clean it all up. By himself. The sucky putt of this is that he was a little sick with a pounding headache and a fever. EvEn after a long Hour after closing, the place still looked filthy. But he couldn't help but think it was in a way totally worth it. The people were around his age got him involved in their little celebration and be drank a lot and just had a good time. He needed a bit of that from being alone for the last little bit. It sucked not having a lot of friends but it disnt bother the bartender whatsoever. As he cleaned Ace's nicotine urges thwarted to boil and he pulled out a new cigaret from the pack he bought this morning and started to smoke, the chemicals inside actually making him feel s bit better. Now all he wanted to be was home by the time he finished the cigaret so he could just sleep.

The moon shined in patches over the pathway, cloud shapes seeable on the pavement. Anneliese's boots echoed with every step she made walking home. After spending hours at the mall looking for CDs to play at home she had lost track of time. In one hand was a small paperbag with five different CD cases taking up its space whilst the other was in her jacket pocket, twiddling with her phone chain. A small sigh escaped her mouth as she thought to herself, I have already lived her a few months and haven't had a fun time. I should really go out dancing or something... As she noted this down in her head she glanced at an upcoming bar, still open. She paused for a second and gave a shrug thinking it wouldn't hurt to have one drink. Taking out her hand from her pocket, she pushed open the door to the bar only to hesitate after one step. With her hand still held on the door she looked around to only see one person and a mess. She looked down to the sign again before looking up and calling out to the person, "Is this place open still?"
Ace's head poked up from looking at the floor and his attention turned to the girl who looked like she needed a drink in the bartender's golden eyes. "Well, it's closed," he began as a smile formed onto his lips. "But what's one more person?" Ace trotted over to the front door and swung it open, gesturing for her to walk in. "My sincere apologies about the mess. Abunch of college students were here tonight." his attitude was welcoming and kind, not like a lot of bartenders who seemed grumpy and hated their jobs. Ace didn't really know a lot of people even though he meets many people every single night and he was feeling kinda lonely. The bartender picked up a bottle of beer he put out for himself that he left on a poker table and took a small sip from it, walking to the back of the bar counter. "What can I get for you?" he asked, snacking both of his hands to the freshly cleaned counter.

Anneliese felt her mood go down at the mention of 'closed' before her face lit up again when he continued. She slowly walked in and glanced around at the leftover mess from the customers. She gave a kind smile and shook her head, "It's fine. I kinda guessed it didn't always look like this.[/b]" She walked over to a barstool and sat down, placing her arms on the edge of the counter. "I will just have a vodka and coke please.[/b]" She looked around at the mess once more. It seemed it would take a long time to clean up, and she guessed the bartender would want to get home soon seen as the time was quite late."So the bar is usually lively when open, I'm guessing?" She asked, trying to make some kind of conversation.
Ace shut the door behind her and flipped the open sign to closed. "Trust me. I'm like, a clean freak." he laughed a little, brushing his bangs out of his eyes. As Ace mixed the drink she requested he was glad they were able to start a conversation. It would have been awkward if they just stood there in silence. "The bar hasn't been open for that long. It's pretty new so a lot of people are coming to check it out." he replied to her question. "A lot of them come back here sorbets a good sign." Ace had his back facing her, and when he finished the drink he spun around on his heels and place the drunk on the table. The fiz at the top was surfing to settle, which was great since he hated when it spilled over the rim of the glass. Especially when he just finished cleaning the counter. "I haven't seen you here yet. Are you knew to the town?"

Anneliese gave a small laugh and rummaged through her pocket before placing a few bills on the counter. She placed her CD bag on the side and waited for him to turn with the drink she was yearning for at this moment. She hadn't had a vodka and coke in a while and couldn't wait to taste it. She gave a nod agreeing, "It seems like a good bar. You're kind and serve with a smile so thats a bonus. The bars where I used to visit always had sulky employees.[/b]" She grinned. She took the glass after it was placed infront of her and had a sip. The cold liquid running down her throat made her close her eyes and give a happy sigh. "I've only been here a couple of months so I haven't really seen the whole place yet. I would have gone out dancing and drinking sooner but I hate going alone.[/b]" She replied reopening her eyes. With only living their a couple of months she had only met a couple of people, not enough time with them to call them friends though.
As she took a sip of her drink Ace took a sip of his own bottle. He drank a lot, not for any reason in general but as a bartender he's got drinks all around him and he couldn't help himself. The thing is, he hardly ever gets drunk. "Well, thanks!" he exclaimed, his cheeks a little pink but it faded quickly. That must be why people come back a lot. All you need is a kind smile. "Well your not alone now are you?" he said, taking a stool from behind the counter and placing it close to the girl on his side of the counter. Maybe he would make a new friend tonight, depends how long she wanted to stay. "I never got your name- did I?"

Anneliese grinned at his reaction. Although it only lasted for a second, she was able to notice the slight change in colour to his cheeks. She was able to notice the slightest change in a lot of things thanks to her ability with sound. As she placed her drink down, she crossed her ankles together and gave a warm smile. It seemed like she was definitely going to make a friend. She tilted her head sideways with a smile and held out her hand to shake, "I'm Anneliese. And you?[/b]"
"Call me Ace." he said, gently shaking her hand. He hasn't shook anyone's hand in quite a while and it felt a little weird, especially with it being a girl. Usually it would be some sort of hug. Whatever. "Enjoying your drink?" he asked, running out of things to talk about, but that's what a bartender should say to a customer. He took another sip of his own beer, and than realizing there wasn't much of it left, maybe half a sip or more, and he just drank the rest. Than he put bottle neatly in a cardboard box hidden underthe counter along with the others inside the box already. On Wednesday he would take the bottles to some drink store to recycle them for money, so he could earn an extra dollar. He needs it now living itechs city.

Anneliese took another sip of her drink. Now there was only half left in the cup. She nodded whith a grin in reply whilst looking around the room "Yes, thanks. I haven't had it in a while so I forgot how it tasted like.[/b]" She couldn't help but think it would take quite a long time to clean all the mess on his own. For all she new it could have been messier before she came. "So are you the only one working here? Won't it take a while to clean this all up?[/b]" She gestured towards the room as she swivelled on her stool to face sideways.

Ace---
"Yup." he replied, sighing as he scanned the horrible mess. "I'm in charge of this place since I was the first guy to apply, so yeah. Until we get a cleaning person it's my job to clean up what everyone leaves behind. But whatever. It was way worse before you got here so I think I'm around halfway done. I think." Ace looked at the freezer below where all of the beer bottles were, kinda wanting another one, but for now he held his urge to drink since he knew he had a drinking problem.

Anneliese tried imagining the room twice as messy. Oh. She nodded along before replying, "Well thats a bummer.[/b]" She swivelled back to the counter and took a slow sip out of glass. Then she thought of an idea. She grinned as she looked up to Ace and suggested, "I could help you out you know. I'm in need of money so I wouldn't mind being a cleaner. Atleast it'll mean you can go home earlier.[/b]" She needed the extra cash for her apartment amd she had no other job so, why not?
Ace thought about that for a minute, than a smirk grew across his far. "Perfect." he replied. " I'll help you with it too. Trust me, this isn't that much of a mess comparing to a mess a bunch if people made a week ago. I eneded up sleeping here overnight I was so tired." okay, he'd had enough. Ace reached Dow to the mini fridge and grabbed a beer bottle, popping the cap off and happily taking a large sip. "Do you plan on drinking that much tonight? If so that if you help me now all your drinks are free for the night." he offered, swishing the beer in his bottle around.

Anneliese laughed. "Atleast you wasn't late for your job the next day.[/b]" She gave a lopsided smile. She stared at her cup for a moment when he offered free drinks. Really, who could turn down free drinks? She got her cup and gulped down the half left before slamming it back onto the counter with a grin, "I'll have a beer this time then.[/b]" She didn't plan on getting proper drunk, but she didn't plan on staying fully sober. Enough to clean of course. She got up from her stool, leaving her CD bag on the counter and looked around the room, "So, where shall we start?[/b]"
