It was maybe cold, but Daneil ad no where else to go. It was day and he was sure people were getting more aware and the city was more guarded. He sat at the edge of the lake peering into the lake. Looking at his reflection. His wings were folded back and he laid back looking up at the grey clouds. He knew it might rain, but he didn't move.

October it was, the month and the girl. October was he favorite month, it symbolized the dying of the old and the birth of the new. Well, that would e spring, but the out with the old thing was now. The girl sat opposite of the boy, her legs scrunched up against her frial body. It was cold and goosebumps stood like toy soldiers on her arms. She hated the cold, bit what could she do? Buy a jacket? Nice idea that was.... She had no money, she had only recently been able to leave the prison. Images of the guard she had killed flashed through her mind and she drew her legs closer to her chest. She let her lips rest against her knees, it was scary. October felt her hair coming lose from the small clip she had found in the park that afternoon, she wasn't really good at hair anyways. Small strands of snowy hair fell into her face as she stared at the water. There was no wind to speak of and the lake was still like a mirror. She whimpered slightly, not aware of the company she held. The clouds overhead began to darken and with it, it displayed the promise of rain. "Please don't let it rain." she prayed, clasping her hands around her legs.

Slowy a drizzle of rain came down from the clouds. Daneil finally bther to move to the trees, keeping the lake in sight, he didn't want to go far. He was still tired from being hunted from the police and knew it would be best if he went into town less. He maybe didn't have any cuts or scars, but he had to trick them so many times. He douted the fact of them finding him in the forest and besids, Daneil knew he could use his Thunderbird powers.

The light rain drnched her as soon as it came down, soaking into her clothes and hair. She got up, luckily there wasn't any close lightning, so she was a little bit more at ease. October looked to the trees, the wind was picking up and the trees seemed to whisper, rumors of Nova city about anything they had heard. A roll of thunder echoed from the distance and she tensed. She ran up to the treeline, aiming for a tall tree with broad leaves. With a sprint, she went to the tree only to be stopped. Not wary of the other person, she smacked right into his chest, bouncing off his muscles and was thrown to the ground. October looked up, slightly dazed. "I'm sorry." She said apologetically. Her body was still tensed with the storm. She couldn't quite see this guy in the dark, October looked up trying to make out a feature.

Daneil was hit unexspectantly and was pushed back. The back of his head hit the tree and he grunted. He brought his right hand to the back of his head. "Well be more careful." Daneil said. He was saying it in a mean way, but in a way that was telling her to maybe look.

She laughed shyly, "Guess so." She got up, splashes of mud sticking to her legs and shoes as she got up. Brushing herself off, October looked at the guy, her eyes had adjusted and she could actually see him now. Tall figure with bright green eyes, black onyx hair that seemed to blend with the shadows. More odd than that, he had a slight hunch in his back. Curiosity pricked her mind and she wasn't sure on whether she should introduce herself to him. A crash of thunder rolled across the darkening sky and October went down, kneeling and covering her head with her hands. October could have done without embarrassing herself once more in front of a stranger. This happened all too often.

Daneil didn't want to stay here, he couldn't get in trouble if she died of exsposure and slept near by, so best to get moving. He began to walk, his wings were out as he moved and he still wondered wher Zoey was. He felt the cold chill of wind on his arms along with needles of rain.
