Shadow Heart(Zero, Open)

[Rose Scarlet]

Rose slammed her hand into the tree that she rested her body upon. Her heart was pounding inside her fragile chest. Sweat dripped from her face and she gasped for breath. As she pushed herself from the tree she started to stumble. "Rose it's Over!" The voice screamed in her head, made her ears ring and her caused her to screech in pain. She came upon the open meadow and feel to her knees as her body began ti give away. "No please!" Rose cried out to the sky or anything around that would listen to her cry.

Rose's head finally fell and rested on her chest and her hands, limp next to her sides. She seemed dead but a black liquid changed the picture. It oozed from the top of her back and feel down her back and also made it's way to her chest. It slipped down her arms, back, and every part of her body covering it in a black, thick, liquid. Rose's legs moved and made her stand up on her feet, then the change began to start. The first thing to appear where big black wings that shoot from her back and opened up. Long curly horns appeared from her hair that seemed to be growing and stopped when it hit the grass below. Her fingers seemed to grow long and sharp like the talons of an eagle. Behind her, a long snake like tail started to curl around her body. She raised her head and gazed up at the sky with blood red eyes and opened her jaw. She growled a terrifying growl and looked forward as the sound of muffing grass came towards her.

Standing before the unfortunate soul was a boy dressed in a black leather jacket and black jeans. A hood underneath his jacket rested over his white hair, casting a shadow over half of his face andilluminating his unnatural ruby eyes that glistened in shock and curiosity. His hands were at his side in his his left hand held a wooden cross.
The excorcist found the meadow a very peaceful place, which is why he hung around here often. Today he wasn't planning on paying a visit but he was glad he did in the end. This whole time he watched the transformation from afar. By the screaming and the way the atmosphere suddenly darker he assumed Satan's children were at work. But the way she looked... It was abnormal. Could it have been the devil himself?
Zero know he must have been noticed by now so he didn't bother running. He did what he thought God would have wanted and that was to stand his ground and put an end to this. As scared as he was the voice in his head told him to suck it up. Without this demon strapped down he figured he would have to fight. "Lord have mercy..." he muttered to himself, brining the cross to his chest. The excorcist bit his bottom lip and decided bravely approach the creature. His took a few steps towards his, hiding the cross behind his back.

[Rose Scarlet]

The tall large creature laughed as the young boy stepped forward. The large shadow demon folded his wings into a resting position and looked down upon the cloaked figure with red eyes. It's long arms lay at rest by it's side, but one moved to it's torso. It slowly put one of it's nails into it's chest to open it up. Inside was the girl, Rose, curled up in a ball, eyes closed and hair resting around her body. Looking from Rose to the boy he laughed again, "This is how god treats his children. By this girls sadness and pain I have become more stronger then ever before. The devil himself should fear me. This girl was on the verge of death when I found her and so much hate had filled her heart and made it the most beautiful shade of black. With her hate I was able to heal and become even more stronger as she continued to hate."

The beast took his hand away and the opening started to form back together. He placed his hand by his side once again and spoke, "Why don't you leave and drop your faith in God. He does nothing for his children."

The demon's words angered him. Zero balled his fists together, the one hand with the cross even tighter as it shook and turned a little red. "God gives second chances." he stated. "God gives the hardest path for those who deserve second chances. And don't think your a second chance. You're a temptation." Zero walked a little closer, his eyes intensing and a violent attitude growing onto him. He hasn't been this angry for years, the way the demon was talking about God made his mind tense. If he kept it up Zero would punch his face in. He deserves it anyway.
"And if Satan were afraid of you he would of already disposed of you into nothing." Zero remarked with a little laugh. By than he was standing only a few footsteps away from him, feeling like a shrimp compared to the demon's miraculous size. "Your punishment for drawing this innocent girl into temptation's going to come soon."

[Rose Scarlet]

The demon laughed as the boy stepped forward and spoke words of courage and the idea of a seconded chance. In his red hand was a cross that would normally hurt him, but he was one with the girl and with her he could stand gods cruse. Rose was his ticket to glory. With her soul bounded to his he could use her to take over the human world. "You think that cross will hurt me boy? I have the girl and she will protect me from your gods love!" The demon raised his long black hand into air. Holding it her began to speak to Rose. "They have done you wrong. They don't love you Rose. I am here, I will care for you and never let you go. You will feel nothing with me. Help me Rose, help me to distory this man who wants to do you wrong."

Rose lifted her head from where it was buried into her drawn up knees. Her eyes were red, the color of the demons. Even through she was surrounded by the black liquid she could see the man through the demon's body. Her eyes were half way open and gazing at the man with no emotion. "I don't want to feel pain anymore. Their is no love or comfort in this world. It pushed me aside and made me fall into a world of pain. I don't want to feel pain anymore and I don't won't to be alone. Shadow, save me."

The shadow demon laughed once again and then began to draw her sadness into his body. Using this new strength he brought his long shadow arm down towards the boy.

As the hand came Down towards him, his quick reaction made him dart to the right, but than he lost his balance and stumbled to the grassy ground. Quickly, he stood up, ready for another attack, but doze as he heard the girls cry of help ph so faintly. "You're weak." he said to the demon. "You rely on misery of others for your own strength. You're like... You're like a bully." Zero looked to the side for a moment, than back at the demon. Zero knew very well that when a bully pushes you, you should right back. Suddenly he darted towards him with a balled fist. Maybe if he lunches him in the stomach he could get the girl's attention. I hope I get forgiven for this... Zero thought. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. That's what Jesus once said

[Rose Scarlet]

The demon hissed as the boy moved. He began to think that Rose was becoming calm to fast. Her heart was falling into ease now that he was in control. He turned and looked at the boy. He watched him stumble and get right back up. He was fast, youthful and had lots of steam to blow of it seemed. Then, he was taken by surprise by the boy's attentions. The pale boy came at him swinging his feast at his torso. With the large body and the lack of energy to feed on the impact was made. He grunted as it hit him and he glanced down at him torso to see if he hand entered the black liquid in attempts to draw Rose from his body. The attack didn't have much damaged but it got Rose's attention for sure.

Rose screamed as she saw him charging for her. She placed her hansds on the side of her head and screamed. "Leave me alone! I have done nothing to you! I have never in my life seen a man such as you, but your personality is just like the rest. You want to use me to realse your anger or saftify you sickening pleasures. Your all the same! Nasty and greedy! No one understands my pain! No One! Rose screamed and tears started to fall from her face. These were not normal tears they were black like the liquid that surround her. As she cried the demon became stronger. "Now you will pay for touching me you filth." He lifted his large foot and started to bring it down to the boy in attempts to crush him like an insect.

He still had way more energy left and he quickly rushed away from him seconds before the foot hit the ground. "If you believe being saved your wrong." he yelled to the girl, running towards him with a harder punch intended to it the demon in the torso again. It seems to concern him when he got hit. Maybe another punch could do more damage. "He's not helping you! If you think you're being helped why are you still depressed? God wants to help you! You just need to allow it!"

[Rose Scarlet]

The demon growled and swung his arm towards the boy coming at him from the side so it would be harder to miss, but he was stopped before he could even do so. His gaze fell to where Rose rested and yelled out loud. "Rose what are you doing!" Rose had stopped crying and screaming and raised her head. She gazed at the man who she thought once was trying to bring harm to her, but now she thought different. Maybe the world had changed. Her past was behind her, even thought it was a heavy chain that would always be with her, she had found a good place. She had meet many people who had cared for her and she even fell in love with Alex who accepted everything about her. "You think God will love me even after I have sinned so greatly?" Rose had her doubt, but she knew that being here with the demon would only make her more lonely then she already was. She wanted to be around others who would care for her not hide from the world. Rose began to extend her hand out hoping that some one he would reach it. "Please save me." Rose called out to the man who she know looked upon as her savor.

In response, Zero punched his torso again, his fist this time his fist finally able to break through the barrier and grab a hold of her hand. The dark walls of the demon's skin were compressing his arm and it hurt a lot, but he couldn't rip his hand away. This may be their only chance. "We can do this." he assured, his voice filled with pain. His cross was in his other hand, if if he got her out he had an idea to destroy the demon for sure. Zero started to pull her out, slowly but making progress. His hand was going numb and hopefully he could keep the strength to get her out safely.

[Rose Scarlet]

Rose gentle wrapped her hand in his and went limp as he pulled her out. She body was numb and she found it hard to move. She closed her eyes as she could hear the demon's voice screaming in her head. "Rose you can't leave me! I helped you take your revenge on everyone who had done you wrong! I gave you power and now you must repay me! Rose I need your body and soul!" Rose placed her other hand on the man's wrist and tried to pull herself out from with in the demon. She didn't want anymore of it! She was done putting up with eating the flesh and drinking the blood of others. She didn't care at first because it was part of the deal, but know that the demon was healed he was taking advantage of her and using her. He was making her life even worse then it was before. Rose wanted to go back to her old life, the one she had before she used the power of the demon. Rose wanted to be free.

Zero finally got her out with one last tug, and they both flew a few feet away from him. Before his attention came to the girl Zero took the cross and shoved it in the opening of the demon that he made. "Without the girl, you're weak." Zero walled back to her and hoped the cross would destroy the demon now that he didn't have a human to protect him. "May the Lord have mercy on your dark soul." he said to the demon. If it worked, he would get his cross back and he could aid the girl quicker, but if it didn't he still had to do something to get him away from this poor girl.
