It was the year 2000, and supernatural beings had been exposed. Everyone had believed they had been a myth, until on public television, a man known as Sora, accidentally turned someone to stone. The world felt as though they weren't safe, and that these beings would destroy them. So, the Japanese government gathered all the magical people they could find, and sent them to a small town in the center of Japan, in which is now known as Sukoshi. After a few years of beings confined, the city secretly built an academy for the children, so that they could practice their abilities. The school was called Kimyona, and was kept confidential from the government.
