Why had he returned? What happened to a simple life? What he had known was gone. Alex bounced a faded, rubber ball onto the cell walls. He had almost gone entirely insane if it wasn't for what was left of his sanity. A collar was around his neck preventing him from turning into a griffin. There were rumors of escape but he didn't want to be a part of it, unless persuaded to. 2 guards walked up to his cell and smirked
"Does the little birdy want a nice fresh mouse to eat?" One guard taunted.
"Or does he want a chew toy?" The other spoke. At that remark, they started cracking up, but I simple ignored them. The 2 guards shrugged and walked away.
Alex's hat was torn, and his clothes were faded. It had been 3 months since he had been here. 3 months of hatred, and mockery. 3 months of hope for escape, crushed by the deaths of many.
Claw slowly lifted up her ear. The effort made her wince and she bit down on her knee harder. She was curled up in a fetal position, trying to control herself. She had thought she heard something, something...not human. She didn't know how she could hear the difference, she just could. She growled and bit down harder. That didn't really sound human, whatever it was. She hadn't heard anything but humans for the entire time she's been here. "H-hello!?" she managed to call out. She tried to sound as un-human as possible, hopefully to let her get through to this other monster through the tone of her voice. She heard some guards being mean to it too. They were all scared of her, so maybe her voice would scare them away or something, at least let them know that she was on the other monster's side.

He stopped, and listened. He could have sworn that there was a sound. " Hello? Anybody else here?" It could have been the wind, but he refused to believe that. Was it another monster, or just an insane criminal? Alex waited for the response as to what he or she was
Claw shuddered with the effort to control herself. She was about to bite down harder on her knee, and she realized that if she bit down any harder she would probably tear it off, so she switched to her other knee. She knew it probably wouldn't be good for her to loose any more blood, but it was better then jumping off the walls looking for something to kill. "Are-are you a monster?" she managed to growl out through clenched teeth. It wasn't very loud, but she hoped he would hear it. She suddenly felt a terrible pain go through her, starting at her arm and running through the rest of her body and she almost bit off her other knee. When she opened her mouth to let go a loud scream ripped through her throat and she quickly bit on to her torn up pillow to avoid showing any weakness to the humans. So apparently they were listening in on this one. She growled and narrowed her eyes. She hated humans.

Shocked, he stood up, but fell down in pain. "Yes. A griffin. And you are, too, I presume?" Alex hesitated before asking since it sounded like she was a violent monster. " Are you ok in there? It sounds like your fighting a horde in there!"
Claw took a deep breath and put her head between her knees. She had hoped to make a possible ally in here, but it was going to be a lot harder if they were listening to her right now. She would have to talk later, but how would she know when they're not listening? She shuddered and closed her eyes. She could do the twice for yes once for no thing, but his question wasn't really one she could answer yes or no to. She just tapped twice on the wall to answer his first question, think his cell was next to hers, or else he probably wouldn't be able to hear what she last said. She hoped she knew the twice for yes once for no thing, if he didn't then she might as well give up trying to make a new ally in here.

Luckily for her, he did know the two for yes one for no. Being in prison means a new communication. He responded by tappiing the wall twice. Of course, it wasn't long before some guards walked up to the cells and banged it with their weapons. Instinctivly, Alex rushed up against the cell wall to grab one, only to be stunned with their weapons. Alex shuddered into the darkness, and they walked to Claw's cell. Curious, Alex watched to see her reaction.
Claw narrowed her eyes, confused. She didn't dare open her eyes because it might set her off again, so she just listened, and she heard enough to know what was going on, but it was kind of muffled because her ears were back. The guards didn't seem as cautious around her now that they put that...thing in her, but they were still terrified, she could smell it. She hissed when they got near and growled. They seemed to back off her something, it was kind of hard to tell, they did something, she couldn't quite hear what.

Alex sighed and sat back. As the guards left, he tapped the wall next to him. "So your a monster, that's for sure. So what species are you?" Alex could feel his mind bending, melting, and stretching. Was he going insane? OR was it just his sanity falling? He clutched his head as a pain flew throughout his body. Unable to keep it in, Alex let out a bird-like shriek. The cell bars rattled as he morphed into a griffin. However, before he could bust out, the collar sent many bolts of electricity through his body and returned back into a human. It was official: He had gone insane
Claw half snarled half laughed. That sound he made amused her for some reason. "Yes." she growled, and prepared herself for the electrocution thing but it didn't come. They must not be listening anymore. "You okay." she smirked. She could hear the electric zap in the other room, and it almost seemed petty to what she had gone through the past through days. The smell of blood in the room reminded her of that.

"Y-Y-yea. I think. I thought I had already learned how to control it. Guess insanity broke the connection. So what're you in for?" Alex gritted through his teeth, as the pain was still in contact. " I heard that there was a plan for escape involving other monsters. Is it true?"
Claw smiled, if he thought he was insane he should just see what she did. "I'm an extremely dangerous monster who has killed many people, and yes there is a plan. I don't know what they've come up with yet, they only just visited yesterday, and it was mostly just to get me out, but I'll let them know about you too." She shuddered and twitched. She probably looked like crap, but at least her hair felt like it was in decent order.

" Help me? Don't make me laugh. The last time someone offered to help me, I was trapped and sent here. That's where my trust went. Of course, since your a mad killer, I guess they'll let you out just to murder the agents." Had he struck a nerve? Or had he just made a grave mistake? Alex didn't really mind since he had nothing to live for.
Claw laughed. "Yeah, the killing thing bothers a lot of people, and honestly, I don't blame them, but it's not really my fault I just do what I have to do, and don't worry about us, we'll help you. What could we do besides the exact same thing you're in right now." she sighed, her head was clearing up a bit again. Persuading people really did help her mood.

" Hmm, ok. As long as we're out of this prison." He laid his head back and sighed. " What's it like? Out there, out of the prison? It's been too long since I remember what it looked like. Perhaps a lushious green area, or a nuke-town?"
