She noticed his scoot closer and thought about teasing him about it, saying that if he got scared he could hold her hand or something, but she figured that, since the movie had started, it wasn't a good idea. Nor did she respond to him; what was she supposed to say? Thanks for trusting me? Wasn't like he had too much choice in the matter. Throughout the movie, however, Skyler did occasionally look at him, trying to test his reaction.
When the movie was over she stretched her legs out in front of her before looking over to him. "Well, what do you think?"
He smiled at her as the movie ended, turning from the screen to her. She looked much better than the movie did, but he didn't want to keep scaring her with his flattering. "The movie was good, a very good introduction to movies. It was very riveting. And how about you? I'm sure you've seen it a thousand times, but did you like it any better this time?" With his question, he wasn't exactly referring to the movie itself, but to being with him.

She let out a mix of a laugh and a scoff, trying not to just burst out laughing in general. What was with that question? Movies didn't just change -- wait, was he referring to the present company? Well, that was a bad way to ask that question. "I'm surprised you didn't hear me humming along to the songs," Sky teased. "It's the same movie as last time I saw it. I do like having someone to watch it with, though."
He chuckled to himself quietly about how long it took for her to figure out the answer to his question. "And it was very nice to watch the movie with you as well," he said smiling at her. Now that the movie was over, Seamus really didn't want to do anything else. But one thing had been on his mind the whole night, and he was positive it was on her's too.

She looked at him a few moments longer before getting up and turning off the TV and other equipment. She turned back to face him. "I don't have an extra bed, but you can sleep on the couch?" It was more a question than anything, though she was sure that sleeping on the couch would be loads more comfortable than sleeping on the floor.
Not what I was thinking... he thought to himself. But then he shook his head of the thought right away. He really shouldn't be that forward, even in his thoughts. It was going to get him in trouble sooner or later. "You mind if we talk a little bit before going off to bed Sky?" he asked, looking into her blue eyes with a slight smile.

"Sure," she said, trying to keep herself from looking too bemused. This shouldn't have been that unexpected, but then again her thoughts were only leading to snuggling into bed and falling asleep. Sky didn't mind staying up a bit longer; after all, he was a guest and her friend. It wasn't like it was a chore. "What do you want to talk about?"
He just rested his head against the back of the couch while looking at her. This covnersation was either going to be really fun, or really awkward. But it had to be done, and Seamus wanted to do it now. "I want you to be honest...What do you think of me..?"

That was not something she was expecting. She looked at him for a few moments, eyes wide, before schooling her expression into something that could be considered neutral. Well great, he was asking a question that required thinking and of course she wouldn't be able to hide anything. Not that he wanted her to hide anything.
With a groan she barely heard, she pulled her knees to her chest and hid her face against him. He'd hear her thoughts; she didn't want to say it out loud. Or want him to look at her face, either. First off this is literally the worst way to make a move ever, she thought. But, um, you're handsome, certainly. And nice. And do you know how hard it is to describe feelings?
He smiled softly and nodded to each thing she mentioned, though he felt bad for being so direct, and failing when it came time to make a move. Though really he wasn't, he was more or less trying to gather her opinion of him. He chuckled softly as he thought back to her, Well I wasn't trying to make a move. If I did, we would probably be in a different room doing other things. But I know how hard it is to say your emotions, because I'm having the same problem. I don't know how to say it without just blurting it out. He hoped he was getting his point across without too much difficulty of understanding.

'If I did, we would probably be in a different room doing other things.'
'If I did, we would probably be in a different room doing other things.'
'If I did, we would probably be in a different room doing other things.'
Her brain kind of shut down right about then. The rest of what he was saying registered and was quickly filed away. This one single sentence, though, kept playing over and over in her mind. Like a broken record. And worse than he getting caught on those thoughts was the spark of interest she felt.
Her face turned extremely red very quickly, and with another groan Sky dug her face further into her legs. Get out of my head, she thought, adding on a half hearted and false, I hate you.
He sighed softly and looked down, then just went back to speaking regularly. "I'm sorry...I should go...thanks for the movie and the offer though..." He kisses the top of her head sadly before getting up and heading to the door. He had shut her down, and in the process just ruined what he had been working for all day. He didn't even get to say it, but anyhow it was too late now.

She heard his apology and felt a pressure -- his lips? -- on the top of her head, but didn't exactly process it until she heard him walking away. Wait, wasn't he searching every thought? Furrowing her brow, Sky looked up and saw him heading to the door. "Where do you think you're going?" she asked, her voice sounding steadier than she thought it would.
He stopped immediately and turned around, looking at her in a great surprise. He wasn't expecting such a strong voice considering how she was acting just a few moments ago. But he wasn't about to disobey her. "You told me to stop reading your thoughts...and I assumed I hate you basically meant leave..." He was quite confused about what was going on, and it was obvious to him that's girls were an odd creature themselves.

Well, he clearly wasn't as good as reading minds as he thought he was. Haha. Uncurling and doing some maneuvering until she was sitting correctly, she decided to just get this over with. Bravery, don't go away. "Come here," she said, though it was more an order than anything.
