Despite having run late, her errands didn't take as long as she thought they would. So instead of doing something productive she was left sitting, bored, in her apartment for more than enough time to let her mind wander to places it probably shouldn't go. This caused her hasty cleaning of almost every surface in her home, most of which were already clean and musing over whether or not to have some form of dinner ready. In the end Sky decided that, if he wanted food, she could make it then.
She tried to keep herself occupied and away from her thoughts... and away from checking what time it was almost every two minutes. After her initial 'is my house dirty' freak-out, she moved on to distracting herself with other thing: checking the news, reading her mail for anything important, and her current activity, watering the plants. The plants were kind of an odd touch, given the otherwise modern feel of the apartment, but she liked fresh herbs and it was easier to grow them than anything else.
Unable to stop herself, she looked at the clock again. It read a few minutes before eight. Finally.
Seamus was early, really early. The clock he could see just down the street read 7:30 when he first arrived, and it seemed rude for him to be that early. He knew that she was inside, but still his manners prevailed over his eagerness to go back inside. So to pass the time, he just watched the events of her life through her eyes, and listened to her thoughts as they occurred. Obviously she was more flustered by Seamus than originally thought, which was a very curious situation. Yet since she did not understand what was going on, Seamus was unable to read her mind to figure out why she acted this way.

Unable to distract herself any longer, she sank onto a couch and waited. She'd purposely picked a spot that was pretty far from the door, just to try to make it look like she wasn't just sitting around waiting for him. Even if that was, essentially, what she was doing.
But... ugh. She didn't know if this was a mess or not. She would have invited him over anyway, but... Sky felt like the invitation just slipped right out. She didn't think. Or, maybe she did think. Or maybe she really couldn't resist a pretty face.
She looked up to check the time again and she had to resist the urge to hit herself. Hopefully he wasn't close enough to hear her think that. Oh, who was she kidding. With her luck, he probably did hear that and then all sorts of awkward was going to happen.
She just needed something to keep her busy until he got here. Actually, she needed a way to stop him from being able to read her mind, but she wasn't exactly sure how to go about that.
Being unable to wait any longer, he knocked on the door. The inevitable was going to happen, some awkward was going to go down tonight. Hopefully it was good, but hey, it's still fun by any means.
Seamus always had a habit of asking himself questions and questioning his purpose. What did he see in her? She was beautiful (of course that was the first thing he thought), she was kind and polite, and very good natured. Her powers also intrigued him, but as his mind began to think of ways that could be used to help the monster cause he shook his head clear of the subject.

She pushed herself off the couch, since the only other thing she would have managed to do was jump. He probably heard her thinking. Sky swore that if she kept spending time with him, it would eventually get to the point where she'd never think again. That was a depressing thought.
As she walked to the door she tried to smile and not look like she was guilty of anything. Which was true, she guessed, but it still felt almost like it. Was thinking about someone when they could hear considered rude? She just needed to stop.
She opened the door then stood aside to let him get through. "You did show up on time," she teased.
He nodded slightly and smiled as he stood in the doorway, looking at the room, then her. "I try to, just to be polite." He touched a strand of her hair that fell by her shoulder and smiled a little bit more, then let it go and walked into the room. "This is a nice place you have here." Seamus stopped in the middle of the room and looked around, just viewing everything, with just a sincere smile on his face.

She closed the door after him and leaned on it slightly, just watching. He seemed to be in a good mood. What reason didn't he have to be in a good mood, though? She touched the strand he did before tucking it behind her ear, deciding to sort that out when her thoughts wouldn't be overheard. Not thinking about it would keep her face from turning multiple shades of red, too. "Thanks," she said, pushing from the door. "Make yourself at home. Do you want anything to eat?"
He glanced back at her and smiled before just standing there awkwardly in the middle of the room. "Well..have you eaten yet?" He didn't want to be rude and make her prepare something when he was going to be the only one eating. Besides, it wasn't like he needed food anytime soon. He would be alright if he didn't have anything.
If only she just thought about it! He wanted to talk to her about her feelings, and for the fact of the matter his. They both had some sort of feelings for the other, and he just wanted to get it out there so it wouldn't drive them both crazy. Two crazy monsters could spell disaster for the city. The thought of that made Seamus chuckle to himself.

Yeah, he seemed to be in a very good mood, given whatever he was thinking could make him chuckle. The only time she wished she could read minds was when she wanted to be nosy and know what got him into such a good mood. She had to keep from rolling her eyes at herself, but she couldn't stop an actual smile from forcing itself onto her face. "I've eaten," she said, "but if you want something, tell me. I don't want you to starve to death or anything."
"Well thank you for the offer, but I just recently ate too." It was a lie, get had eaten several hours ago, but he wasn't hungry either. He was just looking forward to spending time with Sky. He took a seat on the couch and waved for her to come take a seat next to him. "Well by how clean things are I can tell you were making ready for my arrival. Would you please come have a seat with me?" He smiled again, his bright but deep blue eyes looking right at her.

For some reason she didn't exactly believe him, but she wasn't going to protest. At his remark on her cleaning her smile turned nervous. Well, it was obvious. No need to lie, then. Sky sat down and stretched her legs over his lap, an amused look in her eyes and a grin.
"I was actually trying to keep myself occupied," she said. And keeping myself from thinking about you. The thought slipped out before she could stop herself. She tensed and hoped he hadn't heard.
Her thought never reached his head, as it was more preoccupied with her legs that were just laying in his lap. He wasn't sure what to do with them, but the act could construe a multitude of meanings. Maybe it wasn't worth thinking about. Oh to heck either that, things were obvious that they both were thinking something, but just didn't want to say it.
Act cool he told himself...act cool. He nonchalantly laid his arms on top of her legs and looked back at her. "Well it sure worked, the place looks great!"

She couldn't help it; she laughed. "Decorating makes a place look good," she said, her body still shaking. "But thanks." Sky looked at him for a moment, tilting her head; he wasn't as... eloquent as before. Was he uncomfortable? Then she remembered her legs. "Oh. I can move, if you want," she said, lifting her legs up slightly.
He smiled and pushed her legs back down to his lap. "Don't worry, it's fine." He wasn't as eloquent, but that was because he was attempting to relax, to make her feel more comfortable. That, he hoped, would allow her to open up to him.
Going back to her earlier statement he continued. "The decorations do look wonderful, you have done an amazing job. I'd say you have an eye for beauty." He smirked slightly as he said that too, since it could have multiple meanings.
He did feel bad though as he could feel her shaking. To try and comfort her, he rubbed her legs softly, hoping it didn't scare her.

Well, since he was going to keep her legs captive, she didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Sky nestled into the armrest behind her, getting comfortable and stretching out. "An eye for beauty," she snorted in a very ungirlish manner, eyes closed. "I mostly pick out stuff I like and find a place for it."
She looked at him then, moving her leg from out from his attention. "Stop it or you're going to make me fall asleep," she warned, more amused than scolding.
