Steven was just a regular guy. He recently moved into Nova City and satisified. He was tired of moving in all honestly and he knew one thing. He could be safe here, with other monsters. He was in the United States Navy before he left after several years of service. he was happy with his life and now all he wanted was a coffee and some friends in this lonely world. He got the usual, a caramel frappachino and sat at a table that was fit for four people. He was now considering id he should get coffee cake as well but, he hated desicions all he now wanted to do was talk. Well time to get social.

Rose had entered the building before the Steven and had been sitting down reading a book. Again, her plans were empty and she had no goals or wishes in life. Driven by boredom at home she wondered for a place to sit down a read a book. She had come across the cafe and choose this to be her resting place for now. It was not common for her to be around a crowd of humans for her cravings normally went crazy, but the cafe was near to empty so she was able to keep it under control. Rose's long black hair was pulled over on of her shoulders and some had fallen behind her back from being to short. Her purples eyes were set on the words in front of her.

Steven stared with pale greeneyes. He could blend in weith any human as long as he hid his paleness and his random fades. He saw Rose reading a book and asked "What's the book?" He was curious about this character, Rose. He had never seen her before having just moved into town. He hadn't even chosen a house because his stuff was in storeage.

Only shifting her eyes, Rose looked at the stranger who dared disturb her reading. She did not speak for a few minutes as she took in the mans appearance. Pale and weird was her impression, but she was not so different with her strange looks. "Dark World," Rose said simply turning back to the words on the white pages.

Steven huffed "Ok I hear its a good read." he sat sound at a nearby table and continued to sip his frappachino. He was suprised at her reaction. it was almost like his ghostly appearance made him welcome nowhere not even among other monster. He thought they would ban together with all the arrests honestly and the killings that had put the city on edge.
Things had begun to change within since his first arrival on the outskirts of town. Now that he had met several different people, he had started to become more comfortable. He took this time to enter the coffee shop, his first real venture into the city. Certainly the most people he's ever had to interact with at a given time. Well, now is a better time than never. Walking up to the front counter, he ordered a simple drink, nothing too special.

Rose payed no attion to the man's words and only put herself deeper into her book. She wanted to get lost in a new world. One that she might have a reason to live in, but that was silly. Rose had no reason to be in this world. Only for the amusement of others had she lived so long. Rose closed her book remembering the page number and the line she had just finished. She shifted her purple gaze the the window and watched at the busy streets filled with people.

Steven stared at Seamus who had just entered the Cafe. He said, throwing him a ten dollar bill, "Here that one is on me." he took his seat again staring at the grey streets. Cars traveled back and forth just as life went on. Almost as if small acts of kindness didn't mean anything.
Seamus smiled and nodded at the fellow. He really didn't have any money, so this generous donation was available to actually be able to purchase the drink. Receiving his smoothie, he took it and the change back to the table the man was sitting at. "Here's your change, and I really do appreciate it." He set the money down on the table then glanced at the seat down across from him. "You mind if I sit here?"

Steven said "No problem keep the change I have more money." He examined the young man. He seemed kind enough and new in town just like him. This man had to be another monster. Then Steven realized he was starting to fade. He briefly went invisible and poofed back into human form. he said "That didn't happen." He hoped nobody noticed.
He chuckled softly and smiled at Steven. "Trust me, I got your back, and no one else noticed. Now keep quiet or you'll draw attention to yourself." After setting down the smoothie, putting the money in his pocket, and sitting down, he outreached his hand to Steven. "My name is Seamus, it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

Steven toook the hand and shook it firmly. He said with a pleasured expression, "Its good to have allies in these times. Name's Steven Reideill ex US Navy i fled here when they discovered my secret. That why your here my friend?" He took a last sip out of his Frappichino before disposing of the empty cup and throwing it away in a near by gargabe can. He sat back down at the table. Only two of the red cushioned seats were occupied and two remained empty.
Seamus shook his head and took a sip of his drink. "Nah...the guy I grew up knowing as my father and trainer died about three years ago. I lived alone ever since, and a couple of weeks ago I decided to find some more people. After some walking and a couple of flights, I ended up here." When he talked, he made no mention of the fact that it was literally just him and the old man. It was an unnecessary detail for him to share at this point.

Rose's purple gaze has shifted to the two men. She had been watching through the trains of her uneven midnight black hair. Rose had heard and saw everything that was happening between them. One of them was surly a freak like Rose, but the other spoke the same for himself, but yet had to prove it. "More freaks, how amazing," Rose said to herself. As she watched the men she got glimpse of Steven's neck and could feel her teeth start to grow and sharpen. Due to active police her nightly hunts had been cut and her hunger for Human flesh was growing. She covered her mouth and started to coffee. Living only off Human flesh and blood, it made it hard for Rose to live. As she coughed she could feel a warm liquid spill on her hand from her rose red lips.

Rose's thoughts were incredibly clear to Seamus. He could tell that she knew that Steven was a creature, but Seamus just seemed like an ordinary guy. Good to know that he could hide it well. But what troubled him most was her new growing appetite. To a creature like her, usually dead food was no good for them. They had to hunt down their pray, and slaughter them with their own two hands. He had one solution to this, though incredibly risky, plus why would she listen to him? They hadn't even met yet. Perhaps it was time that they did. He wrote a note on a napkin, then reached over and set it on her table. Inside it just read, Meet at seven, library. He hoped that she could wait that long, and hoped she would do what the instructions stated.
