He chuckled again, okay, so it was going to be okay. And really? Isaac wasn't too worried about the whole friendship deal. He was fairly positive that they could muscle through whatever life had in store. If they did end up separate, he wouldn't push her away, he would understand and just carry a healthy friendship. Although she seriously prayed that it would not come to that. He stood up, his towering size standing in front of he innocent Yui. He cupped his palm around her cheek, and just below her cheekbones. He leaned down and kissed her deeply, he pulled away with an innocent smile, "I'll love you any way you desire." He said simply. He went around her small figure and started back to baking.

No way would they ever be separated! Yui would never let go of him. If it came to the two separating, Isaac would have to be the one to call it quits. She closed her eyes and got on her toes to meet Isaac half way to kiss him on the lips. It was nice to feel his lips pressed against hers. The kiss was better than the first one, because Yui was actually awake this time. Yui opened her eyes when Isaac broke the kiss and went back to baking. She came up to Isaac's side and smiled at him sweetly. "So, this must mean we're boyfriend and girlfriend now, right? I'm so happy! I promise I won't let you down, Isaac. I'll be the best girlfriend I can be."

He stayed silent, grinning wildly as he started pouring he batter onto a large pan. Unlike regular cookies, Isaac just put it on like a giant pancake. "Giant cookie~" he hummed cheerfully. Sticking the pan in the oven, he started towards the living room, pausing to wait for Yui. "So, 17 huh? That's a big number, sure you can handle it?" He smiled teasingly and disappeared around the corner, fleeing to the couch and sitting down, flipping on the TV to the travel channel. He always enjoyed watching the people visit places all around the world. He wanted to do that too someday, in fact, he and his father had planned on going to London in the summer. But that plan wouldn't happen now. He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand, slightly surprised to find tears swept across his hand. He missed his home, he missed his father and his house. Isaac held back the strain of tears, he had to be strong. But it didn't help hide the ache.

Yui listened to Isaac hum cheerfully. She thought it was cute! She couldn't wait to taste the cake when it was done. Well, she would have to wait until tomorrow to eat it, because it wasn't her birthday that day. Maybe she could convince Isaac into letting her have a little piece of cake tonight. Yui followed Isaac out of the kitchen and rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, yeah~ Most definitely. By the way, how old are you? You never told me...." she scratched the back of her head and laughed nervously. "I guess you never told me because I never asked." She sat down on the couch with Isaac and began to watch TV with him. She noticed him wipe his eyes with the back of his hand. Was he crying? Yui had no idea if he was crying or not, so she said, "Isaac, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Her brown eyes softened as she watched him, for she was deeply concerned about him.

Isaac returned a soft smile, his eyes glistened but he fought enough to keep the waterworks turned off. "I think so. I'm just missing home is all." He explained, leaning his against the back of the couch. What with all the unfortunate events, Isaac barely had time to just let his own emotions settle. He was remembering things this time around; his missing father, the whole kidnapping crisis, his mother. Old wounds some of it, but the thought of home was like a punch to the gut. He wiped his eye again, cursing himself at such weakness. Then again, was it okay to cry now? Could he even cry in front of her? Would she think any less of him if he did? Oh he hoped not, cause he had already cried for her. So if he cried for himself.... He shook his head, mumbling to himself about whatever absurd question crossed his mind.

"I don't want to make you feel bad, but I'd love to see where you came from someday. Do you think I'll ever get to meet your father?" Oi... Yui should've kept her mouth shut at the very beginning. She fell silent and wrapped her arms around Isaac, pulling him into a tight embrace. It was okay for him to cry. It must've been harder for men to cry in front of someone. Yui just thought it was ridiculous, but she understood that they were just trying to show how tough they were, which was ridiculous too. "You can cry if that'll make you feel better. I don't like seeing you cry, but if that's what it takes for you to feel better, you can cry in front of me. I just want you to know that you can tell me anything, you can ask me all kinds of questions, and you can cry in front of me. I'll be here to support you no matter what."

Well, he would have loved nothing more than to bring her home to his father, hey would all be happy and celebrate, even if for such a small event. His father loved him very much and would have lived Yui even more. But alas he assumed his father dead since he had gotten no real reply from his father, whom he had sent a letter to. He prayed that his gut was wrong and that his father was alive and well. But they were all he had, prayers and hopes. He let loose as Yui pressed herself into him and he folded up like a small child. He cried silently into her shoulder like a toddler. God, he wasn't feeling too hot neither. Isaac knew he should not be so down and upset, seeing as her birthday was the net day. He might as well let it all out today.

"There, there. Let it out, Isaac." Yui didn't like seeing him so upset, but she believed he just had to cry. She knew that it was hard to keep your feelings locked up for the rest of your life. There would be some point in life where you just have to let it out. The girl fought the tears, for she wanted to stay strong for the person she cared about. Yui held Isaac close and whispered words of hope and comfort into his ear. All she had to do was be supportive. If she pushed any further than she already had, there could be a possibility Isaac would get mad at her for being nosy and getting into his personal life. She just wanted to help him in any way she could...

Isaac lifted his head, smiling gently, "I'll be fine, Im alright now, I promise." He said leaning his forehead against her. He looked up, his eyes clearer now as he heard the small beep of the oven. He cracked a laugh and picked them both up from the couch "The cake is done, Yui. Do you wanna start on something else like dinner? I'll tech you to cook, not just bake." He said taking deep breaths to calm himself. He was alright now, he felt much better in fact.

"Okay... Just remember that you can cry whenever you want to in front of me. I'll hold you and listen to whatever problems you might have. I don't even care if you have a problem with me. I'll always be there for you and listen to what you have to say." Yui kissed his forehead and smiled at him, hoping he would at least feel a little bit better. He promised her he was better, so she believed him. She nodded, accepting to help with dinner. "Okay! What do you want to make tonight?"

Isaac smiled back as she kissed his forehead and he met with a kiss of his own aimed on her lips. He turned away into the kitchen and went rummaging through his groceries. "How about steak and baked potatoes?" He asked over his shoulder. Isaac wasn't a picky eater but preferred his meat over dainty poultry or fish. He started to even wonder what Yui liked.

His smile made the brunette smile. Yui kissed him on the lips when he leaned in to kiss her. She broke the kiss and gazed into his gorgeous amber eyes. "Tell me. How did I get so lucky?" She giggled and followed her boyfriend into the kitchen to help make dinner. The sound of steak and baked potatoes sounded absolutely delicious! Her eyes were already sparkling with delight, and she didn't even know what steak and baked potatoes tasted like. "I've never ate it before, but it sounds delicious! Just tell me what to do and I'll do my best to do it right the first time."

He laughed, quite excited to give her a taste. He pulled out a few potatoes and got out some plates and foil. "Just wrap the potatoes in this foil all the way around," he pause to get out a large pan, "then put them on this." He set down on the small island in the middle of the kitchen and pointed to the table. "You can then set the table. I'll be preparing the meat and putting the potatoes in the oven, 'kay?" He said tilting his head and smiling. He was still rather foreign to the whole dating deal, he'd rather just love her than get all complicated, he would have taken her out whether she was his girlfriend or not. After a moment of seasoning and a small amount of sneezing, he laid the steak on a small grill that he bought as a convenience for his absent real grill. He planned to get one, but he had been busy. He started messing around with the breads until he glanced over to see how Yui was fairing.
"Okay!" Yui took each potato Isaac gave her and wrapped it in the foil. She couldn't wait to try the dinner they made together. She was sure it would taste delicious! The happy girl hummed as she wrapped the potatoes in foil and put them into the large pan. A bright smile was on her face, and she picked the pan up and walked over to the table, setting it down. She turned to Isaac and giggled, for she was happy about her accomplishment. "Look, Isaac! I did it and I didn't mess up this time."

With the meat grilling, Isaac smiled and put the pan of potatoes into the oven for 7 minutes. His body turned to Yui and he smiled with her, "You were perfect!" He agreed and grasped her hand and gently pulled her along into the porch behind the house. The air was stagnant but it didn't affect the chills running up his arms. He turned around, his back leaning gently against the wooden posts. "Yui, I want to say this ahead of time; I promise that I'll be the best companion I can be. I'll protect you because you mean more than my own life, alright?" He wnted her to know that he was doing his best all the time and for her.
