Sully sat on one of the rocks. She was bored. She had a police file infront of her. Not just any police file though, her police file. Yes she had a police file. It was mostly just minor stuff, but there was also a few big things. It was probably illegal for her to have it, but she didn't really care. Sully pulled out one of the papers and looked it over. It was one of her more serious crimes. She frowned at it. She was really disappointed in herself for it. She was also kind of proud. It was one where she had stopped the police from catching a criminal, but the criminal had been an old friend of hers so she felt like she owed him. Even though he later ended up killing himself.
Sully closed the file and rolled up the paper. She leaned back on the rock and sighed. She was just going to listen to the waves for a little while.
After her eyes had closed, and she had begun to nod off, Seamus smirked ever so slightly. Taking some water in his hand, he threw it at Sully, splashing her in the face. "Guess who's back?" He stood infront of her, hands buried in the pockets of the coat that he had found along his travels. Not being the first time that he had disappeared for a time, he figured that she wouldn't be too surprised to see him.
When Sully felt the water hit her face she jumped up and pulled out her knife as a reflex. When she saw it was Seamus she laughed bitterly. "You're lucky I didn't slit your throat there." She muttered. She shoved her knife back into her pocket and put the crumple up piece of paper and shoved it into her poket. Stealing a police paper was defiantly illegal so she didn't want Seamus to know about it. She looked him over and smiled. "It's been getting kind of lonley around here without you to make my life a hell of a lot more interesting." She sighed. She had gotten over some things without him here, cleared her mind up a little, but know that he was back she wasn't so sure. "So how've you been?" She asked trying to make small talk.
(Do you have a crush on Seamus? Or multiple people?)
"Please, you would never slit my throat, I would be too quick to react." With a slight grin he sat down and looked out at the ocean with her. "Life has been interesting not being here, you'll have to tell me more about it as time continues. And about that crumpled paper, don't worry about it, you didn't do anything wrong, and they keep copies anyway. Trust me on that one." His smile softened, as he began to go into deeper thought. He hadn't seen Skyler (I think that's how she spelled it) in a long time, and it was all but assumed that she had passed. If that was the case...he just chose not to think about it. It was nice though to see Sully again. He known her for as long as he had been in the city, and had built a strong...friendship with her.
Sully shook her head to get the water out of her hair. She'd have to get back at him for that. She was hardly listening to Seamus, but when he mentioned the paper she straitened up. How had he known about that? She looked him over. How long had he been watching her? Probably long enough to see the page. She knew that they had copies, sort of.
Sully sighed. "Oh hey, I never thanked you for the book." She said and smiled at him. She had finally accepted the fact that she was a witch and even enjoyed it. "I'm pretty good at it too!" She chuckled a little and rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. She didn't really know what to say to him.
He had to chuckle softly as he listened to her, both thoughts and what she had learned. "No problem, I'm just glad someone has been able to make use of that book. You'll have show me how well you have done. And as for the paper, you forget that I can read minds." He looked over at her finally, still smiling. But though both were making conversation, he could tell something was bothering her. He wanted to know what.
Sully's eyes widened at the fact that he could read minds. He had told her that he had wings, but not that he could read minds! "When did this happen?" She asked him. She was kind of angry that he hadn't told her. She wondered if there was something else she didn't know about him. She bit her lip as she thought about what she wanted to say. Finally she sighed.
Sully walked up to him so that she was face to face with him. She frowned at him. "You need to stop disappearing..." Her voice trailed away. She was about to say "on me." but that sounded way too emotional. She didn't like emotional. Sully put her hands on her hips. "And if you ever think of splashing me with water again I'll chase you with my knife." She stated.
He chuckled as he gathered a ball of water and discretely moved it along the sand out of their vision. But be moved over so he could actually sit in front of her and look at her directly as he talked to her. "For one, I told you the first night that he had met, and you wanted me to never do it again." Then he could hear the rest of the thoughts, and he knew there was something else on her mind. Something that had on his mind as well. Maybe it was because he had been alone so long. or maybe in Sky's absence he felt something that he never had felt before: a broken heart.
Sully glared at him. "I think I'd remember you telling me that you could read minds Seamus." She said. She thought back to the first time they had met She didn't remember him telling her that he could read minds, but he probably had and she had just ignored it. She had been confused then too, but about a different subject. Sully was about to say something else snarky or in her defense, but then she saw the look in his eyes. She frowned and sighed at the same time. Sully wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked him. She could tell he was sad, or hurt, or something else along those lines and she didn't like it.
He wrapped his arms back around her tightly, holding her close against him. The two bodies almost seemed to mold together as Seamus relaxed fully, resting his head on her shoulder. "It's just feelings I've never really understood before...I don't even know how to describe them...I guess being alone and then meeting people you get really close to has that affect on people doesn't it..." He sighed as he couldn't really bring himself to think about what he wanted. He really had liked Sky, but now upon his return, something had changed. He had always liked Sully, but then he also met someone else, another light angel. Well, former light angel, but that was another story. He didn't know what to think yet, or whether the months that had passed was enough to consider moving on.
Sully sighed at his words. "Yeah, yeah they do Seamus." She said. He seemed really beat up about all this. It must be about that Sky girl. Sully knew about her yes, but she didn't really know the full extent of their relationship. She looked up at him. If only she could read his mind things would be alot easier. Sully took a step back from their hug and looked at him with a stern glare. "Listen Seamus, if you like somebody, you should tell them. Things will work out, but if you miss somebody then you should tell somebody you trust. Don't keep things bottled up." She told him softly. It was funny coming from her considering how she never talked about her feeling, ever.
His glance in return held sadness, but was grateful for her thoughts and condolences. Granted she hadn't filled the same in return, but perhaps this was the first step. After a short sigh, he began to release his thoughts. "As I can tell, you know about Sky...well, I haven't seen her in months, and no one knows who she is when I ask around. I've come to terms that she is either never returning or has passed to a different life. And now I have thoughts I just can't sort out...I'm just confused, I don't know what this feeling is or what to do with it..."
Sully looked at him. Damn he's cute when he was sad."Seamus, you know you can tell me whatever's on your mind." She said, probably sounding a lot like a mom. God how she hated herself right now. She tried to think of something that was more herself and less motherly. She rolled her eyes at herself. She was such a bad friend. All she could think about was how badly she wanted to just jump into the water to get away from all this talk about feelings.
Being sad just wasn't his thing, nor was it his plan to tell her how he felt. So to get away from it all, and to make both of them actually smile, he took the ball of water he had formed and splashed it against her shoulder. Knowing he was dead meat, he sprinted for the water and jumped in, taking off some of his clothing during the sprint.
Sully felt the water hit her shoulder. Her eyebrows raised and she looked to where he had been standing only to see him running towards the water. He had better run. She took off after him, kick off her shoes in the process. She pulled off her shirt, leaving her undershirt on, and splashed into the water after him. Dang it why was the water so cold? Sully could play with water too. She muttered a few words and then waved her hand in a sweeping motion. Of course this created a large ball of water that she let fall onto him. "I know a few tricks too!" She laughed.
