Seamus passed through Nova City every once in awhile now. Occasionally the humans he had worked with would recognize his face; some would say their greetings, but others had been washed away by society and passed on without a second glance. Seamus had little interest to interact with the affairs of the city now; things seemed relatively calm on their own and the number of deaths had gone down drastically. If someone needed to be protected, then he would step up. At the moment, the cafe seemed more like the proper destination.
He never really frequented this area much, but he had heard only good things. Both the quality of the edible portions of the visit as well as those who came were both equally entertaining and splendid. Seamus quietly sat down at one of the booths, ordering one of the daily specials. Seamus never liked warm drinks, so he ordered it cold. And as the waiter took the order to the back, Seamus paused and looked out the window, viewing the street and the scenery with it.

"If I believe in you, will you believe it to..." Anneliese mumbled in a soft voice as she listened to a song she came across, known as 'Emerald Eyes', through her large headphones. She coudln't help but sing along to songs she liked, even if it was in public she didn't care. They would look at her oddly, but she just ignored them. "...You like awake and you feel like your dying..."She easily steered to the side of people, dodging the rushing businessmen and the flailing arms of kids as if it was some kind of dance. It was something she did unconciously with her being able to detect people coming with her ability to hear from miles away. "...To see the world through my eyes for once in your life..." She entered a cafe and walked up to the queue, her music audible to those close to her. The queue shortened quickly and once it was her turn she could easily hear what the worker was asking, "Strawberry shortcake please, and a fruit smoothie.[/color]" She replied, tapping out the beat onto the counter. "...Barely alive to the sight of the sirens lights..." She continued softly mumbling the lyrics and scanning the cafe for seats, waiting for her order.
So other "monsters" do still roam these streets. How interesting; I was beginning to think that the humans had begun to run them all off. It wasn't hard to sense that there were other creatures about, and he may have met this one, but only briefly if so. Still, not one to shy away from a conversation or at least attempt to make one, Seamus took to his feet and walked over to Anneliese, nodding politely. "Excuse me, but I feel like we have met before. Am I mistaken?"

Anneliese glanced at the oncoming man, who she seemed to have seenmonce before. She looked him over, trying to remember where she had met him before a grin appeared on her face. "You're right. We have met. You are friends with that guy, Izzy wasn't it? We were in the mall's cafeteria.[/b]" She paused her music and placed the large headphones around her neck before seeing her order coming. Her face lit up at the sight of it as she grabbed the tray with thanks, stepping out the line. "I don't think we have introduced ourselves properly yet. I'm Anneliese, and you are?[/b]" She asked with a smile, balancing her tray in one hand and her other hand outstretched towards him for a handshake.
With a firm grasp of her hand, Seamus smiled in return and shook her hand. "I thought so, my name is Seamus. It is a pleasure to meet you. Please, come have a seat with me," he asked, his arm gesturing towards a booth more off to the side that most of the cafe.

Once the hand shake was finished she held the ends of the tray with both hands and grinned, "Why thank you.[/b]" She replied, making her way to the booth he pointed out. She placed the tray down on the opposite side to him, scooting into the seat. She picked up the small fork and took a chunk off the cake, letting out a happy sigh at its taste. She glanced up at him and paused in her eating, swallowing the past part. "Want a bit?[/b]" She offered, fork mid-air with a chunk of her strawberry shortcake on it.
The waitress at the same moment delivered to him his drink, which he smiled as he withdrew it from her hands, placing a five in her hands for an exchange and a tip. She nodded thankfully before returning to the busy restaraunt.
Seamus then turned back as he set down his drink, leaned slightly, and took a bite. He couldn't resist a dessert, and he wasn't going to let her have a chance to take away the offer. Still, this saddened him internally. Skyler was not found in his searches, and he assumed that she no longer existed in this time frame. Sadness could be focused on later though, he was with company, and there was no reason the two couldn't at least have a pleasant conversation in that cafe.
"Thank you very much," he said, swallowing the bite which she had gave him.

Li had stumbled in the cafe. Her face had signs of blood. The fight was intense, really intense. And not only that, it was the police, trying to plop her into a jail cell like any other 'monster'. Not noticing anyone she knew, she ran to the bathroom to tidy herself up.

Seamus paused briefly and took a look at the girl that just entered, knowing that trouble wouldn't be too far behind her. To solve this, he determined that he would invite her to sit with the two at the table, more as a place to hide if nothing else. He turned back to Anneliese for the moment and smiled.

She could alter her face easily, but she wouldn't, not in front of all those people, even if she was in a bathroom. The gashes on her face shown really deep. If she altered her face then her face would hurt worse. She walked out of the bathroom, her cuts and wounds tended to, but still shown. Her hair fell in her face on purpse.

Her presence was easily sensed, and without turning his head, his hand gestured for her to join the two at the table. He was attempting to make this as silent as possible, allowing the patrons of the cafe to forget that there could have been any trouble at all. Silence was all that was necessary in an event such as this.
Sully had been walking on the street for once. She wasn't running on the rooftops and wasn't even scaling the side of a building. She walked passed the cafe and took a breif look inside. She almost walked past, but then a familiar face caught her attention. She backtracked a few steps and had to look right at him to make sure it was really him and not just some image in her head. Yep, it was Seamus. Surrounded by girls of course, there was no other way for him to be seated. She laughed and walked into the building.
Sully walked over to the table without waiting for an ivite. She plopped herself down beside Seamus and punched him playfully in the arm, not enough to hurt. "And where have you been?" She laughed. Really she was just happy to see he was alive and not dead in an alley or something worse. It wouldn't have surprised her all too much.
Seamus chuckled softly to himself as he rubbed his arm where Sully had hit him. Yes, it had been awhile. But it didn't seem that long ago. It seemed as though only a few weeks since he had appeared so shortly, it was more a mere image than an actual visit. Then it seemed on a few weeks more since he had met the former monster hunter and determined that she was a witch herself. She seemed to be taking it on well, and from the looks of things, her training was going smoothly. Yet, as he always did, he smiled and nodded. "I've been many places, faced many challenged, been through several battles. I'm slightly surprised I'm not more changed than what I really am." Had they known him before, like Sully did, and what he had gone through as he searched the land for various things, certain things would be pulled into question. Mainly, how was he able to keep the light of his soul pure, at least externally?
Unknown to many at the table, including Seamus, the light wasn't as pure any longer. A certain chain of stimuli would have to show that however.

Li had started muttering to herself about how rotten the government was and how she had barely made it out. About how she couldn't be put in a cell but in a container, knowing she could turn into a mouse and escape. Also besides the fact she was clausterphobic.
