Was empty really the right word? No, more like confused, baffled, and perhaps even a bit broken. Right now Sully was sitting atop a rather high building. I had posed no chalenge getting up to the roof. Its slant made her feel like she would fall at any moment. She really didn't care. She lay on it and held a book in front of her face. Her eyes darted in lines across one page then once she reached the end of it she switched to the next page. She had been reading, and rereading, and praticing, and repraticing every single word in the book.
Sully had started to accept that facts, that she was a witch, that her whole life had been a sham. That she was breaking at the hindges. Her only friend was a monster, something of which she had hated her whole life. He was probably the only person she could trust with this knowledge, well, him and her cat that was. Yes. Her cat. She had accepted the thing as acceptable when she had started chatting with it. It was fairly knowledgable and was a good spy. She liked it. She just had no idea what to name it.
Sully pulled a notepad out and scribbled a small picture of a bird in it. She mutter a phrase from the book she was reading and slowly the bird began to move on the pages, a wobbly thing, but still it was moving. Sully closed the book and when she opened it again the bird was still, as if closing the book had broken the line of magic. Sully vaugly wondered where Seamus was. Probably out with some girl, or getting himself into trouble. She shook her head. She hoped that he was alright, she'd hate it if anything happened to him.
