Kat brushed the fallen pieces of grass with a shake of her shoulders, shredded grass falling to the hardwood ground as she opened the door to the bar. Her head throbbed and she was yearning for a drink of some kind. Her fingers reached up to rub her temples, so far she'd done good and bad, all equaling out even. First, she'd killed about 60 people out of cold blood, but she had been saving a friend. Next, she had helped that bastard Jasper and that little sissy David out of jail, why did she even go there? Her temple throbbed, her finger responding and quickening. Then there was her visit to the Insane people. what a joke that was... The screams of that man only reminded her f her headache. She groaned and half yelled, half talked her order. Something about a Orange Splash and that was that. Her head was propped with her palms which stood on her elbows, her eyes tugged at her eyelids, but her parched throat won over. She down the first, second, then the third, nonstop like that until she heard the bell on the door ring. Her eyes trained on the drink but she was aware of their stare.

Jasper walked in. Geez, Kat was very unpredictable, mood-wise, and he decided to take his mind off of it. He laughed quietly to himself, and spun around. Clearly, he was in a state of delusion, with no sense of reaction. He sat down a few chairs away from Kat and ordered some water. "Ah water. The soothing liquid to the soul" He gulped down most of the water, and pointed to Kat. "Hey you! Pretty lady!" His mind was on the verge of meltdown, and Jasper had given up at this point to actually control his actions. After he said that, however, he shoved aside the fool in his mind and took over. "Erm. Kat? Yea, disregard whatever I just said, okay?" He gave a weak laugh, and his mind cooled and settled.
Kat looked over to see the bastard she called Jasper, "Screw off." she said taking another gulp of the drink. "what's wrong with you today?" she said rhetorically. She put a hand down flat on the counter, her hand curling into a fist, her head throbbed and she groaned quietly and closed her eyes. She wasn't exactly in the mood to have fun with the reaper.

"So now you hate me? Is this because of my achievement in betrayal, hmm? Or is it because you oh so dearly miss me?" He taunted. Although, she was not in the best of moods, Jasper was. "Now, this is one of those rare moments in times where I sort of become a flirt, and have a nice attitude. To be fair, that last time was 2 years ago. So enjoy it while it lasts, cause it ain't lastin' long." He paused when she groaned. A sign that she was in some sort of pain. "Mm, are you ok? Why don't you think about what's happening?"
Kat glared at him, "You don't strike me as a flirt. but, if you want..." she trailed off. "Well, actually it's mu head." she paused to point to her head, black waves of hair cascading down her bare shoulders. "I'm surprised to see you here, what with this being a bar. you drink tough guy?" she asked, tilting her hand and smirking. Think, That's what the alcohol did for her, thought for her and made her blissful. She took another swig and slammed the empty glass on the table, it was what? Her 6th?

"Of course it's your head. A head as thin as that will easily get headaches!" He sat down next to her and wrapped one arm around her. "Now this isn't going to help. As much as I would love to take your soul while you're still so weak, it is against a rule that I use: When you see a weak monster, get the soul after." Jasper nearly jumped when she slammed her glass. "I'm surprised you didn't break it. Guess you're not as weak as I think. Now enough with this nonsense drinking. What you need is some fresh air! Yea, that'll set your mind right." Jasper then stood up and held out his hand. "Only unless, you want to, of course."
Kat didn't speak, but when a arm slipped around her she reacted. She glared daggers at him, if only looks could kill... She stood, not taking his hand but going straight to the door, "Only if you lead." she said holding open the door. She smirked and went through, the sun outside was bright and glaring right back. Kat shook off her aching head and focused on what she was going to do about Jasper, she could just leave, but what fun was that. Her eyes peeked back to the door, "What exactly did you have in mind?" she said, her voice level.

"C'mon. Don't hate me just cause I'm so handsome" Jasper grinned, and followed her out. He shielded his eyes almost immediatly, and held his hand down. "But ladies first, dearie" He bowed, and waited to see her reaction. He let out a deep sigh, and started walking. "Well, if you don't mind, perhaps we could grab lunch or something? I mean your schedule must be pretty tight from saving other people, right?"
Kat laughed and put the tip of her finger to his chin, lifting his posture, "Such a modest gentleman. Handsome too." she cooed teasingly. She turned around walking after him. "Lunch it is then, but saving people? Please, they don't need saving. I simply took pity on you and David." Kat explained. she drew in a breath, the crisp air was oddly cool throughout the Summer. Of course, autumn was falling upon them just as quickly as summer left.

"And such a beautiful lady. And polite, too." He added. "But for lunch I was thinking we could go grab something at the cafe." Jasper slid his hand into hers, and started running towards the cafe. When he reached his destination, he rolled his eyes. "No need to take pity on me! After all, I would have been just fine if I hadn't met you!" He laughed weakly. Not the best of times, but that would do.
"Flattery gets you somewhere." She ran at an equal speed towards what she gueesed was the cafe, she'd never beent here before really. Once said destination was reached she put both hands on her hips and leaned forward, "Really? Collar and all? What about if David wasn't there?" she questioned, her eyes flashing from green to blue to brown. "I could have left you to rot." she jeered, waving her hand in emphasize. "Admit, you were stuck." Her voice had taken a flirty tone. Man she really needed to get her emotions back in check.

"But flattery won't get you the whole way." He thought about what she said, and hesitated. "Fine, I'll admit it. You rescued me. There, happy?" Jasper scowled and blinked his eyes tiredly. "So what do you want to order?" He noticed her eyes changin colors, and wished that nobody saw that. "Erm, your eyes changed colors........" He had noticed her flirtatious tone, and felt someone he had never felt. It was a warm feeling in his heart, and felt weird. So weird in fact that a shiver went down his spine. "God damn, what is this feeling?" He whispered to himself.
Kat nodded, smirking as to prove that point. She crossed her arms looking at him like everything was obvious, "They do that, it's a gene thing, nothing to do with you know what. But I'll have a 12' in sandwich. Split the bill?" She could have gone on and on about her eyes and what not about light prisms, but that would have been at least an hour. so she left it at genes and said what she said. Her sharp ears picked up something else, her eyes questioning him but she replied with nothing. Kat walked two a double table and sat down without a second thought. she watched Jasper from afar and occasionally waved a finger to show her position. Habit?

""Gene thing, huh? And I'll take a 6' sandwich." Before he could reply to the bill, she was already walking towards a table. "Guess that's a no, then." He sighed and pulled out his wallet. Even though he was a monster, food was a necessity. Luckily, the total was surprisingly cheap and was the perfect amount for Jasper to pay for with. So he paid and walked over to where Kat was with her foot long, and his 6'. "I saw you giving me the strangest of looks. Just to be clear, you can't read minds, correct?"
Kat nodded, pulling out her own wad of money, "Here, for mine." she pulled out 5$ dollar bill and smirked. "You didn't think I'd forget did you?" It was a rhetorical question. The sandwich settled nicely in her hands, she'd eat half now, half later. you can't read minds, correct? Kat felt the tug of her corners on her mouth, she almost choked with laughter, "No, I wish though. Why, what were you thinking?" she asked, her eyes searching his expression for hints and emotions. She couldn't do anything pertaining to the mind. Just shadows, light, stuff like that. Kat was all physical in powerwise.
