(Well yes I know which thread you are referencing, but why are you bringing it up?)
He smirked and pretended just to flat drop her, but caught her a few inches into the fall. "Sorry, I had to." Then he smiled and correctly set her on her feet, allowing her to stand and walk into the elevator, followed by him. After they pressed the first floor button, the doors shut and the car began to descend.

Ash gave a yelp, her arms clinging around Seamus's neck, her heart step up and she lost her breathe. "S-Seamus!" She scolded halfheartedly. She put her hands on her knees to catch her breath just as the doors opened and they descended. She looked at him with clear grey eyes, she didn't remember having a family before the rehab center but if she did, she hoped it was something like this. Ash looked ahead as the doors opened to a lobby, glass doors lead out to the streets. "Where do we start?" She breathed already pushing open the doors.
Seamus followed suit, directing her to the right as they exited the building. "Well first we must get you a coat, the city has been going through an unusually cold spout, and if we are to do much walking I want you to be warm." This of course was highly ironic, her being a phoenix and all, but in human form he imagined her warmth was average.

Ash nodded suddenly aware of the cold breeze slicing through her bare arms. She had jeans on, but only a thin fotten shirt to cover her torso. "Good idea. Wait, you have money?" She questioned. Ash had a bit, she was certainly alright financially. She walked with Seamus in the bright streets of Nova, what a dream.
He nodded but smirked softly, not looking directly at her. "I have enough for at least the jacket." The ways which he had obtained this money may not have been seen as the most logical, but nethertheless he had been able to acquire some money to live in Nova City normally. "I believe there is a clothing store just down the street and around the corner if I'm not mistaken."

"Alrighty then, let's go." She said reaching for his hand as she bolted down the street. The store wouldn't be too crowded given the tile, but she wasn't really looking tor an audience any who. Ash peeked around the corner to see the bright lights of a small store. "I'll pay for it some too to eave you trouble." She said remembering to help him out too. Her way of money was practical, doing things here and there. Once she played a guitar she didn't know she could play.
Her hand grabbed his, and she tugged him along behind her, finally reaching the store. Seamus led the way inside then held the door open for her, feeling the warmth of the room crossing him as it exited to the street. He appreciated her gestures, and smiled even more as she passed him, and he too entered the store. "See anything you like?"

Ash went inside, her eyes lighting up like a snowy day on Christmas, Racks filled with clothes galore filled every corner, one in particular caught her eye. She spotted a red plaid jacket, it was small but thick enough to keep her warm. She took it off of it's hanger, looping her arms through it, the hood on the inside was laced with yellow plaid. "This one." she said simply. The price tag wasn't too bad either, a small price of 16$, it was on the bargain rack after all. She smiled and looked for the counter, "Eight dollars coming from both of us." she said confidently.
Anyone would have to admit, the jacket looked great on her, and for sixteen dollars it wasn't just a good deal; it was a steal. "For that little, I'll pay for it myself." His face was just as bright as he walked with her up to the counter to pay for the jacket, "I think this is what we want to purchase tonight."
"Alright, and the lady certainly looks good in it." The man behind the counter was short and just a little on the heavy side, but with his smile he might as well have been Santa Claus.
Seamus smiled back and nodded in agreement before paying the desired amount.
Ash blushed slightly from underneath the jacket and frowned as Seamus payed for it all. "Well mission failed in that category." she huffed but didn't resist. She could do something like that another time. She smiled again and thanked the kind man for both the jacket and the compliment. Ash then turned to Seamus, "So, do you wish to continue exploring or go to the exciting part of the night?" And by 'exciting' she meant the dance, this was all her way of saying thanks, the decisions were up to him.
"The night is still young, and now that we have warmth, we can go see the city's beauty properly." Seamus smiled as he waved good bye to the man at the counter, who he found very nice. Wonder if he would feel the same way to monsters... He didn't these thoughts bother him though, but took Ash's hand and guided her out to the street. Even for late at night, there were still plenty of people out wandering the streets, some with destinations, others with tasks. But the moon light reflected kindly on the upper windows of buildings, while the neon signs down below gave the street a surreal look.

Ash let herself he pulled along in the right direction while she gazed upon the magnificent beauty of the night life. She spotted so many people, some in groups, others in couples, a few even alone. She wondered what people thought of Seamus and her. She smiled self-consciously to herself, the night was young. Ash thought about stuff like that for awhile before the curiosity finally killed her, "Seamus? Why did you make me promise not to kill? I understand that we all value life, but, did something happen?" She asked carefully as if she were walking on thin ice. If he didn't want to talk she'd drop it.
Seamus was unfazed by the question, afterall it was a good and honest response to his request. There wasn't anything conscious about that question that bothered him. If he had known his past then he would have thought otherwise, but he didn't know so it didn't. "I just want support for my side I guess," he said, looking down at her as they walked. "Claw has her group of people, very powerful indeed, and it's great that they are watching out for each other. But to kill people who are innocent, or just acting out of fear or under order's is wrong in my book. There are other methods to such things. Yes, I know vampires and demons must kill, but they target anyone, not only the people that deserve it. Then Claw kills because she feels that she must. But there are so many other things that both groups could do than to kill. So I guess, that's why I had you promise me. So we could reduce the bloodshed."

Ash nodded, "Yes, I understand how you feel, we think alike. But Claw knows that to achieve anything, sacrifices must be made, it's gruesome yes, but is it any worse than the problems we face everyday? I see no difference. Of course, different people have different ideals, but that's why we share our beliefs." She said looking skyward. The stars shone less bright, some withering out right before her. "But is it fate that kills? Or is it will." She questioned, not Seamus, but to anything that listened.
He nodded in return, this debate becoming quite interesting. Ash had some unusual points, but they were certainly well thought through. "Sacrifices may have to be made I agree, but to curse those that oppress without the full story is immoral. For those whose hearts have been hardened over time against those that they fear, there can be other punishments besides death. But not one person must die for a cause of equality. It just sends a stronger message, usually fueled more by hate than anything else." No person that passed the two walking along made any real notice on their conversation, but each seemed cautious in their own respect. "And as for the matter of fate versus will, that perhaps we will never know. It all lands in the eye of the beholder."
